The class gives useful information on how to participate in the a Democracy. Background knowledge about the American government and an introduction to the American political system are very useful foundations to become an active participant in politics.
I learned how voting works, what the different jobs of government officials are, what critiques there are of democracy, and how the political system can be used to give one side an unfair advantage and how to even the odds in the political system.
