    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class is a difficult class. There is a lot of information covered in each lesson that you have to memorize. However, if you find psychology interesting and/or you're looking into it as a possible major, definitely take the class. Dr.Laumakis is a fantastic professor, and the SI sessions are really helpful.

    Course highlights:

I really enjoyed learning why people act the ways they do and the theories behind their actions. I also really enjoyed the end, when we learned about psych disorders, what causes them, and what the symptoms are.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to the SI tutoring sessions because the tutors know what Dr.Laumakis asks on the tests. Also, go through the learning objectives (in the syllabus) and make sure you can answer all of the questions without notes.

Read, read, read! And take good notes on the reading AND the lectures because all of it will be on the test.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because the professor is really engaging and it's obvious that she knows what she's talking about. She provides all the sources for you to be able to learn the material and has office hours for any other concerns. She is very nice and you can see by the way she teaches that she enjoys what she does.

    Course highlights:

I learned many things that I didn't know before and that includes many psychologists and studies that went on to understand what is in the human brain. This course was very interesting and I learned a lot from it. The studies that took place go far back and with those studies came all the new technology that we have today to understand the brain and what goes on during different phases of life.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

This class is no too difficult, but it does take a lot of time to learn the material, it's a lot of memorization and learning concepts. This class can be easier if you do your work and readings on time. You need to be able to understand the concepts, but overall easy.
