Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The class was large but the professor made the class interactive and kept the students engaged.

    Course highlights:

This class is what sparked my interest in taking Psychology as a major. The professor provides many great examples and is open to talking to students to clarify content.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would recommend for students to read the book but focus on the lesson.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is a very interesting class. It provides a good foundation for learning about psychology and why we do what we do. It covers a variety of subjects, and a lot of material. If you really put in the work effort, it can be a beneficial and interesting class for you.

    Course highlights:

I really enjoyed PSY 101. It provided a good basis for learning about various topics regarding psychology. Dr. Twenge provided us with real world examples, and funny yet informational videos to help us reach a better understanding. She was always willing to talk to students after class about a variety of subjects.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

This course has a lot of material. I would suggest taking notes, making flashcards along the way, going to office hours, and asking clarification questions during the lecture. These are all things that helped me during the semester.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

He provides a lot of examples and methods of understanding the material. His lecturing speed is very complementary to what he expects of his students. His class is very scenario based which makes learning the material very applicable.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were the supplementary instruction that they provided. Through this, I was able to learn how to map out the brain and remember each area's function. I was able to understand and connect behavior with environment as well as genetics.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to the supplemental instruction and pay attention to what he says in lecture. He is very direct in terms of what he expects from his students. Ask questions when you don't understand and he will definitely try to explain it in a way that you understand.
