    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I believe that general anatomy should be a GE course. There are so many essential things to know about the body that not just kinesiology, medical, or biology students should have to know. Imagine how much easier it would be for medical visits and self examinations if you knew the essentials of your own body.

    Course highlights:

On a personal level, I thought the cadavers were the best part of the course. Though it is hard for many to stomach, it is so amazing that people wanted to donate their bodies to science so that others may learn from them. The TAs in this class are so helpful and although the course is a lot of work, it was so worth it.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay the extra hours after lab and take the time to go in on Fridays to ask your questions and really know your information for the tests. This class is doable, just take your time!!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class has required more hours of studying than any other class I have taken at San Diego State but it is by far the most interesting. Having a more hands on classroom with models and cadavers has made it more fascinating to me.

    Course highlights:

This class has taught me the most relevant information for my major yet. Learning all the different muscles and functions of each muscle was my favorite part of the class.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

You HAVE to go to Friday review labs or else you will not get an A on the tests.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would definitely recommend this course to anyone interested in the human body. It was a very informative class and I learned so much. The TA's made the class very enjoyable. It's a lot of work and information to learn, but it's very worth it.

    Course highlights:

One aspect of the class that I really liked was being able to see the human cadavers in the lab section of the class. It was a lot easier to learn what everything was when you could actually see it in a human body rather than in a picture in a book.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Study a lot because there is so much information to take in. I would recommend studying with a partner or in a group so you can all help quiz each other.
