    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would not recommend this class because the class is structured so as to not extensively involve the professor. For advanced students this is not an issue, but for someone struggling with the concepts it make the class very difficult. Sometimes it can seem like you as a student are being thrown into the deep end without help, so to speak.

    Course highlights:

After all the work I put into the course, I most definitely came away with a greater understanding of fundamental calculus concepts. That being said, the greatest takeaways that I got from this class had to do with how I approached the class. I really learned to utilize the help of my TA, and utilize online resources such as Khan Academy.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

I would seriously recommend going to all of the lectures, because while they are confusing, they can help to explain certain parts of the curriculum. (And also he takes impromptu attendance for points). Your TA will certainly get you through the class, asking him/her for help is imperative in getting the full knowledge to succeed in class. It is very important to get homework done as soon as it is assigned, because the assignments can pile up quickly.

    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The professor is excellent; he really makes sure the students understand why a theory works, he doesn't just get us a definition and expect us to figure it out.

    Course highlights:

The best part of this class is learning how to work through calculus problems. It gives you a new sense of self worth and overall leaves you feeling very accomplished.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to class because the teacher explains things really well and he even goes out of his way to make an amazing study guide for the exams. Do the study guides for the exams! They are very similar to the real exam.
