    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

If you are dedicated to a career in communications and public relations, this is the course for you. You'll learn a lot about Principles of Public Relations, including morals, ethics, best practices, etc. Do not take if you think this will be a fun addition to your general education requirements!

    Course highlights:

Dr. Sha, and the other Public Relations professors for that matter, are extremely knowledgeable and experienced. The highlights of this course are the real-life expertise students receive from the professor; for example, Dr. Sha was a huge part of creating the public relations campaign for the 2000 U.S. Census.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You 100% absolutely need to read the textbook. The tests are about 40% textbook, 40% class notes and 20% other, which could include classroom visitors and special presentations.
