Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class was a very interesting introduction to philosophy, as I really had no idea what the course would be like going into it. The professor can be a bit harsh at times, but if you pay attention in class, arrive on-time, and put in the necessary effort to study for the exams, you should be able to get through this course fairly easily without too much trouble.

    Course highlights:

This course allows you to distinguish between many different types of proposed arguments in daily life, such as what is a good argument and what kinds of arguments contain fallacies by their very nature. Some aspects of the course organize logic into a math-like structure, which I found enjoyable as well.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

To succeed in this course, you really really need to attend lectures as regularly as possible, as there are points for attendance, and pay attention in class. There is a lot of material covered in just one class meeting, so it is important that you miss as little as possible. Also, be sure to do some very thorough studying before each exam. The exams are not multiple choice, and involve actually applying what you have learned in each chapter. She can be a harsh grader, but as long as you have sufficiently prepared, you have nothing to worry about, and she drops the lowest test grade anyways!
