Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I highly recommend this course because, not only was the professor high-spirited, making him very engaging, but he also provided visual aid to help further his explanations of the course material. His exams were straight-forward and he provided very useful study guides with sample essay questions, that exemplified his expectations of what each student should comprehend prior to exam days and by the last day of class.

    Course highlights:

I learned so much about the human body and its mechanisms, as well as how important it is to have a professor who is so enthusiastic and knowledgable about the course material. The material is difficult, but as I have learned, a great professor makes the class much more simpler if it is well structured and enjoyable.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I recommend having a passion for the human body, or some interest in it is important to make this course much less stressful and enjoyable. I would also recommend making drawing out the structures of the body over and over in order to ensure you are retaining the information. I also recommend explaining the topics you learn to someone else, because what better way to show that you understand the material than by teaching it to others. Also, review your notes as much as you can of course, but especially right after each lecture and the day before the next lecture. It will help in memorizing the information.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course solely due to Professor Buono. He has a way of communicating with his students that makes learning enjoyable. His passion for the topic is easily conveyed to his students which allows the students to immerse themselves in the material.

    Course highlights:

The biggest difference in this course was that there were no textbooks or any powerpoint lecture material. Everything was very old fashion as the material would be covered on whiteboard. Professor Buono would draw all the material onto the whiteboard, therefore if you are a visual learner this is incredibly helpful. This class was a requirement for my major, and I found that I was taught so effectively in this course that the next higher level of physiology needed for my major was rather easy compared to this lower level course.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Always ask questions if you are having difficulty understanding the material as physiology in general has an abundance of material to cover. Ultimately, you have to just enjoy this course in order to fully understand the material, but the professor makes that task very easy.
