    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I wouldn't recommend this course because there is very little lecture time accompanied by a lot of online homework time and lab time.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about chemistry basics, and the highlight is small lab breakout groups that allow you to be hands on with your learning.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay on top of your homework, go to office hours as much as possible and take advantage of any extra resources they make available. The more study time you put in the better you will be off in this course!

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

The course is extremely difficult. The lectures were too fast and a lot of complex information that could have easily been boiled down to provide better understanding

    Course highlights:

The lab for this course was very informative and interesting. I learned a lot about structures of the bonds and what shapes they form and how they become that way.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Stay ahead. Stay on top of every little assignment to make up for low test scores.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This is one of the most challenging courses at SDSU. It definitely forces you to put all your time and effort into the class. One thing that helped me was taking notes after reading the textbook. Making study guides also helped a lot. If you put the time and effort in, you can definitely finish with a good grade.

    Course highlights:

After taking chem200, I can apply what I learned to other future courses like chem201 and even bio203.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Do the homework, go to lecture, go to Chem help room, and the textbook could actually help you.
