Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

As many of the issues in society today are in regards to race, this course was very beneficial. It allows you to gain insight into why many of the issues exist and also ways in which to speak about the issues both intellectually and respectfully. This course was more difficult, but it was rewarding in the ways that it causes you to think and develop your own opinions regarding different racial issues and topics.

    Course highlights:

I enjoyed this class very much. One of my favorite parts of this course was the freedom to develop and discuss your own opinions. Although we learned a great amount about different histories and how they have influenced many of the issues today, we had the chance to form our own perspectives. One of the highlights of this course was being able to have class discussions about the various topics and challenges throughout society. At the end of the semester, we had the opportunity to perform group research regarding a topic of our own choice. I enjoyed this experience, as it allowed me to spend time researching more of what I am passionate about and the ways in which that influences society.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The most essential things for this class are good note taking, effective study methods, and time management. This course requires you to spend time outside of class reading and studying the material that was covered in class. In order to do well on exams, you must spend multiple hours reviewing and ensuring you understand the material. I also recommend getting a head start on assignments, as most of the big assignments are assigned all together at the end of the semester.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

It gives you more of an understanding on how the world is and how America became the country of diversity and opportunity

    Course highlights:

I learned that no matter what race/ethnicity someone is, they had struggles just like an other race. I went into this course thinking that we were going to be talking about problems that happened to one specific race, but it included all races and their struggles to this day

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study guides and assigned reading is important if you want to pass this course
