    | Would highly recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Not only is English a requirement for college freshmen, it really is the most helpful English you will take for the rest of your college career. In this class it teaches you so much more than just about how to write and grammar. This class will really help to prepare you for the next few years ahead of you. Between, citing sources by hand and reading stories where you have to figure out the symbolism in it and learning tricks where to put all the punctuation, you really learn so much.

    Course highlights:

I truly have gained more than I ever thought I would have taking this course. It really does help prepare you for not only other English classes you will take, but every class during your college career. Every paper you will have to write in college, things you could get points taken off for, this class gives you all the help and tricks you will need to prevent silly mistakes that could bring your grade down. Personally, the highlights of this class to me was the readings we did. They weren't huge books, they were just small short stories where you had to figure out the mystery hidden in the text or what the symbolism in each book was. It really opens your eyes to all the things you were missing before when reading books.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The most helpful advice I could give to anyone taking this class is actually read the stories you get assigned for homework. You will be surprised how interesting the stories actually can be and as the semester goes by you'll see how much you've learned just by continuing to read the stories assigned. This class isn't meant to be very difficult so don't make it harder on yourself than it needs to be, just do the work and read the stories and at the end of the semester you'll be amazed with how much you've grown.
