Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course really gets you thinking about the issues that we are facing in the world right now. There is a lot of interaction in this class and the professor is just overall awesome!

    Course highlights:

Working with my classmates was very fun and meeting new people through forming study groups. I learned a lot about Plato, Aristotle, and Socrates as well as why being able to influence an audience through speech is important.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If you do the readings the professor gives you, you will definitely be able to ace the quizzes. Also, when there are exams, study groups are definitely a must!

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend taking this class, especially with Professor Smith because it is so knowledgable. It teaches you how to relate concepts on a current rhetorical situation in life. That was a great opportunity for me because this class will forever apply to my life, rather than just being a class I had to take for college.

    Course highlights:

You learn how to look at life and current events from a more serious aspect. This class teaches you that you shouldn't take events that are going on in the world for granted, because they are really what make us who we are as a society.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

If you just do what the teacher says, you will definitely be successful. Professor Smith told us to do the readings and that's what I did. Right now I have an A in the class. For exams, forming a study group if very helpful and will help you remember the information needed.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Steiner is a remarkable teacher and I greatly enjoy his class. I can apply the material he covers often to other classes, and profs seem to love when you connect concepts between courses.

    Course highlights:

COMM is my major and this class explores te different paths you can take; you can focus on public speaking, interpersonal comm, or media influence (like I'm doing). This class gives a good foundation for all three of those paths and sparks interest in following courses.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Take detailed notes on his lectures and at least try to skim the readings if you don't feel like doing them. Remembering specific arguments is key to his quizzes
