Always Do the Reading
Not too easy. Not too difficult.
It's a fun course and it's more than just writing and reading. You learn how to become attentive readers and writers, and how to write in a way that's outside of your comfort zone. For example, this semester we had to write a complaint letter.
This semester we read and wrote about food, which was already something that I'd never done. It opened my eyes to finding ways to be creative when it doesn't seem like there is a way. You really have to keep and open mind about what you're reading and writing and allow yourself to experience something new. I've learned a lot through different articles we've read in class and it's something that I can apply to my life now.

Advice for students:
Go for it. Do your readings and always take notes. Even if you're a really good reader, you're still going to want those notes. Don't be afraid to share your opinion in class. It's better to get involved with the conversation and share your ideas. Your ideas might bring up some really important points that somebody might not have thought of.
