Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Dr.Kuo is a great professor and knows the material well! She can be a little monotone at times in her lectures but she's very encouraging and willing to help people when they need it.

    Course highlights:

This course is an into course so the spectrum of information covered is very broad, but Dr. Kuo tied it all together very nicely and did not ever seem to leave topics hanging out as a separate entity from the course.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the textbook readings she assigns. Even though the tests are mainly based on the notes she gives you, the readings help you understand all the information better. Study the notes and phonetics a lot for tests.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It was an interesting course and really good for CSD majors to take. There was a lot of memorizing when it came to looking at the ear and the brain.

    Course highlights:

I loved learning about how speech and sounds are formed, as well as, when the different stages of speech development are. Also, how different vibrations and pitch hit the ear differently to project sounds.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Read the textbook and study hard

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The education side of college is great. The professors are there to teach and the students should be there to learn. However, when people say

    Course highlights:

"JMU is the greatest place on Earth" I just don't see it. I am not a super social person and I never party but I assume when people say things like that about JMU, that is what they are referring to. I am not really sure what makes

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

JMU different from other colleges out there except for the fact that there are very many different fields that a student can go into.
