    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class I would totally recommend. It's such an interesting class for beginners of science majors. The professor made the class so much easier, he explained everything so well.

    Course highlights:

A really good explanation of Prokaryotes and Eukaryotes, it was well explained throughout the semester and also the carbon cycle was one of my favorites.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

At first, the class seems chill and easy. But as you learn more in this course, you get more information and challenges to apply that information into your studies. Review your notes, check your textbook and the PowerPoint presentations to clear out your head and to be sure you're not mixing up.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It is a good Biology course, but it did not move past life at a cellular level and classification of life. Note: my Professor was Shirley Isaac but they were not listed above.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about the make up, function, and formation of cells, and other basic principals of biology.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Refer to the texbook a lot and make sure you do your reading

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The course is challenging enough to where it feels worth your time to attend class, but not challenging to the point where an A is unobtainable to someone who is not a science major.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to actually study biology. For me, I did not understand the course at all in high school so I was quite nervous to take it in college. Dr. Harris is not only thorough, but he is encouraging and funny as well. He frequently brings animals into class! He uses not only the powerpoint to teach, but he uses lecture as well as emphasizing important points by writing them on the whiteboard.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Since the grades are solely based on exam and quiz grades, take studying for them seriously. Dr. Harris frequently hints at what will be on the exam which is crucial in preparation. If you attend class and put a few hours into studying, you should be golden.
