This class was tough.
Course Overview:
She is the best Stats professor in the math department. She knows how to go over work.
Course highlights:
I have never understood math so easily before until taking her class.
Hours per week:
6-8 hours
Advice for students:
practice problems all the time for this class and do your homework.
This class was tough.
Course Overview:
If you are a visual learner like me and need the professor to do examples and challenge you during class this class is not for you. To me math wasn't meant to be taught by a PowerPoint. The professor was very nice and had tutoring sessions but his teaching and my learning style just didn't mesh.
Course highlights:
I honestly didn't learn a lot from this course. I will say I did learn the basics of statistics such as mean, median and mode. I learned about null and alternative hypotheses but other than that I was pretty lost throughout this course.
Hours per week:
6-8 hours
Advice for students:
If you love and are good at math this course won't give you too much trouble. However, if you are like me and math and you aren't best friends and you are a visual learner this course with this professor probably isn't for you.
This class was tough.
Course Overview:
I have never been strong in math, but this course was required for my major. I did not enjoy the course nor did I understand why it was required for my major. However, there was always tutoring offered and my professor was always available to help.
Course highlights:
I am hoping that the course, although I did not understand much, prepared me for the class I was told I would be using the statistics. I learned a lot about simple random samples and graphs.
Hours per week:
6-8 hours
Advice for students:
Ask questions, seek tutoring, seek help from your professor, do all the homework, no quizzes from my professor (only tests).
