    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because it is required to obtain a liberal arts degree from Marymount University. I would recommend the professor, Dr. Norton, if you love writing and have a desire to improve your skills. For me, I don't like to write so my grades on assignments wasn't good. Dr. Norton grading is tough, in my eyes, but if you are an excellent writer then you'll do great in his class. Additionally, Dr. Norton is a great professor. He is always willing to help when you need it.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course are that you will learn the basics of writing that may be helpful later in your profession or in other classes such as English 102. For example, you will learn how to write a rhetorical analysis essay, as well as an argumentative and persuasive essay. These are just some of the things I learned while taking the course.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

To success in this course you will have to take great notes and have Dr. Norton, or any other English professor, review your drafts off all your assignments before turning them in. Additionally, participation is important. Dr. Norton asks the class a lot of questions because he is a very engaging professor. Everyone loves him! So be prepared to participate in classroom discussions as well.

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The teacher did not give enough time for essays, and every essay we did felt very rushed on the due date.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to properly cite a source when writing a paper

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to complete the essay as soon as its assigned, because you do not have much time.
