    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I reccommend this course. If you are a health science major and considering the medical field i highly reccomend this. Not only does it help you with preparing for the MCAT, but it also shows you how to apply chemistry to daily life. I took this over the summer. It wasnt easy but if you put the work in, you definitely reap the benefits. Read ahead of time, and hit you tube up if you need additional help( I did). Also if you are going to organic chemistry you definately need this course as a base to that.

    Course highlights:

you will learn how to balance equations, you will learn chemistry at an atomical level( down to the electron configuration of elements). As far as reactions go. You will learn how to determine what a redox reaction is and how to recognize one. You will also learn how to determine how much of a substance or chemical you can make from using a redox reaction or any reaction formula.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

dont procrastinate. If you procarastinate the course will be overwhelming. Utilize you tube. Sometimes my teacher did not do a good job at explaining some topics and the youube videos helped me out immensely. I suggest going right into the homework after learning the subject. Also, if you can volunteer to go up on the board and work the problems out in class, this will help you learn and remember how to work the problems( this is what i did to make myself learn).
