This class was tough.
The teacher is very difficult, not understanding, most of the class fails the only two tests (the only two grades besides the final), and not to mention he talks quiet and gets mad when you ask questions, then continues to demoralize you for "not paying attention."
A lot of the content is based upon the internal stresses and strains within an object enduring a load, what that be tension, compression, torque, etc. Additionally, one very important part is the usage of Mohr's circle.

Advice for students:
Be sure to do every practice problem you can, and DEFINITELY do not take this course with ANY professor that has a reputation of being a poor teacher. You NEED this class and CANNOT do well unless you put 12 hours or more studying on your own or have a good teacher. Also, make sure to IMMEDIATELY take this course after statics. It will help greatly in your understanding of the course.
