This class was tough.
Way too difficult to take an online course in Finance. You are literally teaching yourself psychopathic mathematics. The test was way harder than any quizzes or course work, so it made no sense. The first mid-term, well, let's just say that the average score was well below the first marker for F for the entire class. Save yourself grief and take it at a real school, not an online version of even a real school. I'm hiring a tutor at 40 bucks an hour to see if I can get through it. Not trying to scare you, but I was valedictorian of my class (30 years ago, I admit), but I scored a 35 on the mid-term, yes, percent.
I learned how to figure dividends, how to figure bond payouts, how to value stocks, how to and the whys of calls, puts, options and other great things in the stock market. Averaging 20 hours per week on this course. First two weeks 30 hours, ever since 15-20 hours per week for a lousy 3-credit class. I don't know how anybody could take 15 a semester if this was one of your classes. All classes at Old Dominion are 3 credit. 5 classes like this would put you in an asylum in 3 weeks.

Advice for students:
Get a tutor by chapter 4 - Bonds. That way when you get to chapter 5, stocks..dividends etc., you will be working with a pro.
