    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This was a very interesting, low-stress course that opened my eyes to looking at Christianity and the Bible in a different way.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to look at biblical texts from a historical perspective and learned how to understand conflicts and disagreements between religious texts without discounting the validity of the texts themselves.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The best part of this course was listening to Prof. Spittler discuss the assigned primary source readings. As such, make sure to read the biblical passages before class so that you can be focused on what the professor has to say about the material instead of on the material itself! The secondary source readings were helpful for putting the lecture material in greater context, but really weren't necessary to read in order to understand lecture and be successful in the class.
