Not too easy. Not too difficult.
I greatly enjoyed this course. It provided a good background into Media Studies and made me even more excited to major in the subject. The professor could go off topic sometimes, but he overall was a good lecturer and funny at times.
This course covers all of the basics of media, from the news to magazines. It focuses on history but also on current problems we face in the media.

Advice for students:
Though this is a media class, do not expect to watch a lot of videos or movies. It involves a good amount of reading, plus reading quizzes with at least a few questions that can trick you up. Also, there are 2 papers in addition to the midterm and final.
