Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

There is a lot of school spirit at UVA and traditions are huge here. While our football team may not currently be on a winning streak...football games are still a big deal because of the tradition of "guys in ties and girls in pearls" where there student body dresses up to go to the games.

    Course highlights:

Many alumni also come back for each game and tailgating is very prevalent. Basketball and baseball are both well known teams and basketball especially gets a lot of attention from the student body.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

There is always something to do at night - whether you are a first year/second year looking for a frat party or an upperclassman that wants to go out to a bar with friends. Frat parties can typically be found any Thursday, Friday, or Saturday (and sometimes Wednesdays).

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Endless Choices. I love the fact that at UVA, not only does one have the option to attend any of the five schools (Nursing, Architecture, etc.) and really FOCUS from the beginning, but that the options are so wide in virtually every area. It's an advantage that comes with how big the school is.

    Course highlights:

The class lists are endless, and one has the opportunity to study the most acute of subjects like Desire and the World Economy or grand things like Plato. Plus, the teachers are engaged and overall, easy to rate well. If someone has a passion, it'll probably be well founded here.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

You experience all four seasons at UVA and its not bad in terms of adjusting. The buses still run when it snows, unless there is a big snow emergency then it will not run. It does not get too hot in Charlottesville which makes it nice to study outside or play frisbee on the lawn.
