Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I absolutely loved this course. I'm not in the COMM school, nor preparing for a JD, but this course was a fantastic and interesting introduction to the foundations of American law and our judicial system. It was engaging, thought-provoking, and not overly difficult.

    Course highlights:

We were taught the basics of both criminal and civil law, as well as background from the Constitutional basis of our country and given real-world examples for every concept we discussed.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Keeping detailed and organized notes, studying for quizzes, and adequately preparing for the two exams will help you succeed.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

What's It Like? The program is extremely challenging and competitive. It is also very time consuming not leaving room for much free time at all. However, I feel like I'm used to it, and I pretty much like doing it. It is really stressful, but when I'm away for summer break I miss it a lot. I guess I enjoy being stressed. All nighters galore.

    Course highlights:

Computer Engineering one of the hardest engineering major at UVa. The workload, especially in the required computer science classes are ridiculous, and not much help is given. Although some help is given, TA's feel that there is a boundary to how much they can help, and it really isn't much to learn from.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The teachers assume that students have had previous computer science experience in high school (I definitely have not though). The teaching style is more like students should learn on their own.
