Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would highly recommend this course to any student. Professor Johnson is the best math teacher I have ever had. I look forward to this class everyday, even when we have test and quizzes. He gives you plenty of practice worksheets and homework assignments to practice the material. In addition, you get the class schedule at the beginning of the semester so there is no surprises when quizzes or tests will be. He also helps prepare you for test by providing a test review a week before the test. He is extremely helpful in explaining topics and does not mind to go over a topic again if a student does not understand something. I highly recommend this class and this professor.

    Course highlights:

I learned numerous ways to integrate functions and also that is not just one way to solve one questions. I also learned that it is helpful to sit next to a student with similar math abilities to help each other understanding difficult topics.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would recommend reviewing the chapters materials the week before he starts teaching a topic so that you are already familiar with the subject. I will make it a lot easier to following along with the professor when he is standing up in front of the class doing examples.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course. Professor Ledford can be quick to teach topics, but he has no problem slowing down and doing a problem in front of the class until everyone understands it. He is also very easy to approach and go to his office hours for more help when needed.

    Course highlights:

I thought I understood Calculus 1. I didn't realize how much I was just memorizing math formulas and numbers before until our first test in the class.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do not wait for the professor to assign homework or classwork. Take the initiative to do extra problems on your own and read ahead in the chapters. It will make learning the material a lot easier if you have looked at it ahead of class or attempted extra practice problems.
