    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Mr. Carr is a great biology professor-if youre learning a higher level bio class. He moves too quickly and its extremely hard to keep up. He assigns 2-3 chapters of reading per class, and its absolutely necessary to keep up with them as well as his lectures.

    Course highlights:

The material is good, I liked learning about anatomy and genetics.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

It takes a lot of commitment, do not BS it. If by some chance you got stuck in this class, talk to SI leaders, talk to carr AND WATCH KHAN ACADEMY

    | Probably wouldn’t recommend.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This class is difficult to follow. You must stay on top of your work because not many grades besides tests count.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about the human body that I didn't know before, which interests me the most since that is the basis of my major.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Study everyday, go to as many SI sessions as you can and read the textbook before class.

    | No strong feelings either way.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would not recommend this course for those who are still getting adjusted to college classes. This class is extremely challenging for a 101 class and requires lots of effort. My best advice is to go to all the SI sessions that are offered and the test review sessions. Along with reading in your book, looking up practice questions and using flashcards for vocab is the best way to prepare for the test. Prof. Carr does not make it easy so it's important to know all the concepts from any angle.

    Course highlights:

I learned the value of going to SI sessions and test review sessions. They greatly impacted my success as they not only reviewed the material and guided my studying, but they told me what I needed to focus on for an upcoming test.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Go to all the SI sessions and test review sessions. Make flashcards for all the vocabulary and processes.
