    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

Professor Frankel makes the poetry come alive in modern contexts by shaping his course as a discussion class. Everyone in the class became engaged, no matter how quiet they were at the start of the course.

    Course highlights:

I learned that Victorian poetry is my favorite era of poetry. Elizabeth Browning showed some major girl power, and it was interesting to learn about her romance with her husband, fellow writer Robert Browning.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely read the poetry ahead of time. It's usually short! Take notes so that you can contribute during class. I promise that it'll go by fast if you prepare--it's always interesting when you can jump in to the conversation.
