Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course is both super easy and incredibly interesting. It covers the second and modern half of Western art history, from the Renaissance to the modern era. It's pretty thorough but not overwhelming at all, and heavily image based.

    Course highlights:

You'll come out of this course with an in depth knowledge of modern art history. The professor goes back and forth between powerpoints, videos, and more so that there's variety and so you get more of an understanding as to what's going on. Not a lot of notes are needed.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Do NOT buy the book. Rent it if you can or download a free (and legal!!) PDF of the text off the internet. OR EVEN BETTER, there's an online version of the text that comes with quizzes and flashcards called MyArtsLab, just buy that instead of the whole expensive book. Also, go to class! Attendance counts and you learn a lot! The tests aren't online but they're EASIER than the other professors' online tests. Read the chapters! It gives you a better understanding!
