    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend taking this course with Professor Chang because even though there is a lot of work that comes with her class, it is all very helpful makes the class much more understandable.

    Course highlights:

There is a lot of homework through Sapling Learning, but it helps a lot in the long run. Also, there is a quiz every week on the new information which forces you to keep up with studying.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely make sure you continue to study every week because the homework and quizzes add up at the end of the semester.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend Dr. Z as a teacher because he really knows what he's talking about. He also gives you plenty of study material so there really is no excuses. I will warn people that this is a hard course and will take your devoted time and energy so be prepared!

    Course highlights:

I would say the amount of friends and study buddies I have made in this course is astonishing, everyone is in the same boat as you are so don't feel insecure. I've learned nomenclature, sn1 sn2 e1 e2 and alkanes alkynes and alkenes.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Study a little bit everyday, stay on top of your notes so that you won't stress about not knowing things in the future, get the ACS study book to prepare for the final exam.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Very cool professor but strict in regards in learning the material. I recommend going to office hours if you don't understand concepts. Please take notes in class and try not to cram for test. Overall,he cares about the grades of students.

    Course highlights:

I learned about how I can study for organic chemistry and how to prepare for the rigors of medical school. I also learned about how closely related general chemistry is related to organic chem regarding lewis structures. An important highlight I believe is how molecules that look almost identical have very different properties.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Study! Study! Study! I mean the besy way to learn the material is by practice over and over the general concepts before going on to reactions. Know the stereochemistry like the back of your hand and you'll be fine.
