Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Other than being a required for chemistry majors, it did a good job of outlining basics.

    Course highlights:

The final exam (though stressful) really tested what you learned and how you applied that knowledge.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Taking notes is a MUST! Dr. Polo does a very good job of outlining what you need to understand from her lessons. If you ever need help understanding a subject, please don't hesitate to ask her questions. She is clear with her explanations and also very sweet, I and many other classmates have very much enjoyed having her as a teacher. The final exam can be difficult if you don't take precautions, so be prepared and study both your notes AND your quizzes/tests. You get them back quite promptly, and she is also very prompt in uploading the answer key.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Professor Polo takes time to work through the different problems you may have within the course and work out the problems you may have missed on passed quizzes or exams. She also takes time to give studying tips and some tips to help remember the material.

    Course highlights:

The major highlights from this course were titration, molarity, molality, and percent yield of a metal or precipitate from a solution.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

You must study the material. Talk to the professor about any questions you may have and see if they will help work through a few problems with you. Also look through the book for clarification.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Moussa is a wonderful teacher who really takes the time to explain things while he teaches. If you have a question, don't hesitate to ask because he actually wants to make sure you understand.

    Course highlights:

This class is the second part of general chemistry that helps you understand the foundation for when you get into higher level chemistry.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention in class and ask questions when you need to. There are a lot of formulas; write them down and make sure you understand how they work/when to use them. Go to SI or office hours if you don't understand. It sounds like a lot, but as long as you stay caught up in the course, your life in chemistry will be much easier.
