Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The course is required for freshman entering VCU. I think this course is highly beneficial especially if your degree program has intensive writing requirements. This course prepares you for writing styles that you will use throughout your academic stay at VCU. Also the professor that I had was amazing. She helped me transition to college with an open mind and she gave me a push to make sure I stayed on track. She was deeply caring and I couldn't have asked for a better prof.

    Course highlights:

I learned different writing styles as well as writing tips to make sure that my papers sounded very educated and thorough. Also, it got me out of my shell and I developed very good communication skills because this class was small enough for us to have group projects.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Pay attention. Be sure to ask questions. Don't be too shy. Try to develop a good relationship with your professor just in case you're having trouble transitioning and you need a little help. Don't get too stressed.
