Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend Genetics with this professor because his practice packets were useful for his exams and also in preparation for the MCAT. Free-response exams and quizzes were surprisingly beneficial.

    Course highlights:

With partial credit and lots of practice from class packets and quizzes, it well prepared me for the exams. Besides calculation shortcuts, my favorite lesson was getting used to the process gene mapping. I love how mathematical and hands-on the problems felt. Going to SI sessions also helped!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Tips involve staying on top of all assignments and studying. The biggest factor to doing well on these exams is to consistently rework the practice problems he gives during class, which will be similar to the exams. If you're confused, feel free to either ask the professor or SI leaders and preceptors. All are willing to help.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I am a preceptor in this class. Although a lot of people hated the class, I had a nice time in it. The top hat as well as extra credit help a lot. If you come to class, the class will be extremely easy for you!

    Course highlights:

I learned about Genetically Modified Organisms and how they have impacted our world today positively.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would say to get the book as well as mastering genetics!
