    | Would highly recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

Amazing course! The professor is enthusiastic and engaging. You can tell she really wants you to understand the material.

    Course highlights:

The information is interesting. This was a required course, so I didn't have an option to take it. I wasn't looking forward to it, but after it was all said in done I am SO thankful I had the opportunity to take it! It honestly made me look at other career options the field of epidemiology.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Extremely helpful professor! The information wasn't too bad, but at times was tricky. Visit the professor during office hours, she is willing to help you if you put in the effort!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend Dr. Mountcastle as a professor and the course of epidemiology because of the wide array of topics we cover and the fact that she teaches this course with great knowledge and love for what she teaches.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course would have to be when having the VA department of health epidemiologist come to our classroom and talk about the work they do. The biggest thing at the time was the Hepatitis A outbreak due to tropical smoothie strawberries and all the steps the epidemiologist took to get to that conclusion.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

The best advice I would give is to study as you go and don’t fall behind. This course is intense with work and group projects, but stay ahead of the game and you’ll do fine. Another is go to office hours if you don’t understand the subject; she is awesome one to one.
