    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this course because it is instructed by a professor who pushes his students out of their comfort zone in order for them to grow and evolve as intellectuals and overall more mature adults. It is very important for instructors to see their students not as they are, but what they can be. Therefore these instructors should treat their students as such with the expectations of them conducting themselves as the person they are to become.

    Course highlights:

A major highlight of this course was learning about the history of the African-American community and the ways in which it has evolved over time in face of various obstacles such as discrimination, racism, and oppression. This has allowed for me to take pride in who I am and the rich traditions of my culture as an African American.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

My advice would be to obtain high standards for yourself as a student. One should always be trying to push themselves beyond their limits in order to become a better student and person. These high expectations for you to study more and take your coursework very seriously. This standard of excellence will be reflected in the quality of the work ou turn in as well as your grades.
