Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I recommend this class because it gives a challenge that everybody needs in their college career. Dr. Lowney provides a lot of resources for her students through out the semester that helps understand her lectures and tests. Her lectures were easy to follow along and provided a lot of detail for you to understand on the test. Before I came to college I was not a good test taker at all! So I was not feeling too confident about this class. I have gotten A's on all of the test due to studying and her great teaching skills. She requires a lot of reading a quizzes after every class, but it helps with her point system. I highly recommend this class so every freshmen because it teaches testing skills and sociology!

    Course highlights:

Before I signed up for this class, I had no interest in Sociology whatsoever. When class began, I loved the way she carried out her class. She gave pre and post class quizzes and clicker questions. This helped me study more often to prepare for these assignments. My highlight for this class was studying and being able to help other people understand. Over the course I have started to love the subject. I have learned so much about people and the minds behind sociology that made me have a different perspective.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

The best advise to give, is to receive all possible points offered! Missing a five point quiz can significantly affect your grade. She has a lot of extra credit assignment opportunities through out the semester that I recommend to do. She also has a lot of review sessions held by her and her interns before test time. They help a lot especially if you come with questions. Dr. Lowney provides a lot of resources for her students that can significantly help your grade.
