    Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

    Brett Goldsten is a great teacher and explains the concepts he expects his students to learn and understand in a very concise manner. Questions can be asked during class or office hours if anything is unclear, but usually it is not necessary.

    Course highlights:

    Learning the fundamentals that will allow you to succeed in future organic chemistry and biochemistry courses.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

    Buy his practice exams from the bookstore, and make sure to go through them at least once before each exam.

    Exam material, although tough, is never a surprise.

    Beginning to grasp the language of carbon.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

    I would recommend this course to anybody with a facination for the natural world around them. Namely, the endless diversity that is observed I'm the world of organic molecules.

    Course highlights:

    Completing this course has increased my confidence and ability in the lab tenfold.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

    Study your functional groups! Be ready to work with many different compounds in lab and synthesize products from them, a task that can take a lot of practice before you do it right.
