    | Would highly recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

As a student pursuing a bachelor's in computer science, political science seemed like just another useless, terrible subject bleeding my savings account dry for the most expensive piece of paper I'll ever pay for, telling me I finally graduated. Not so with Dr. Cushnie! He not only engaged all students in discussion, expanding their world view but he walks every extra mile for his students that they ask of him. He has turned into a valuable connection for me at this institution and I highly recommend taking one of his courses, even if it is just another elective you;re forced to take.

    Course highlights:

I learned about many different types of political theory and discourse, and how they all relate or stem from an never vanishing "state-of-nature"; an important theme constantly in the background of the course that is constantly referred back to.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Keep up with the reading assigned before each class session (which is fairly minimal) and actually input your thoughts into the weekly in-class discussions. Participation points are heavily graded on in this course, unlike other classes, and you will see a decent portion of your grade vanish if you don't.
