    | Would highly recommend.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This class saved me when I was taking Chemistry at Cascadia. The first actual chemistry course CHEM 161 is much harder and goes through the material at a much faster pace, expecting you to already know about half of it. I would have had a extremely hard time getting through it if I hadn't taken this refresher on the subject and I would heavily recommend it to those who are reentering education.

    Course highlights:

You go through Chemical equations, such as acid base reactions and redox reactions. You go through basic molecular structure and Lewis diagrams. You go over electron orbitals and describe them up to the 4p orbitals. You go over the special properties of certain elements like sulfur. In the end you need to do a group project teaching the class about a subject you haven't covered yet.

    Hours per week:

    0-2 hours

    Advice for students:

Do the homework as soon as you get it, especially if you are in a group. There is some online stuff so remember to check up on that. This course really takes you through at a pretty gentle pace and if you just go along with the teacher you should do fine.
