Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

IGE courses are very interactive and help you practice critical thinking, a LOT. There are tons of readings, which at first feel pointless - that is, until you realize how all readings intertwine and become applicable resources for other assignments. There are no finals in any IGE class; however, they do require a group presentation and at least 7 reading responses (which are about 2 pages long, each).

    Course highlights:

I enjoyed our discussions. My professor always had us reflect on the readings, but she wanted us to tie that reading into history, current event and current issues.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure to manage your time and leave time to do the readings and your reading responses!

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend it because there is no test throughout course but then every class session you have a reading response due.

    Course highlights:

I learned that you don't have to be afraid to express your opinion because we are all diverse with different opinions

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

do your reading responses don't wait till the last minute

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because the material is very interesting and there is a lot of discussion during the class periods.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about art and community, and as engineering student, I discovered that the arts are not as bad as many STEM majors claim.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely be personal with reading responses, open up and be prepared to learn about yourself throughout the course.
