    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

This intro to organic chemistry course has to be by far the most eyeopening course I've taken. It takes chemistry to a new level in the sense that you view reactions and elements differently. Overall, it's a course that all pre-health students have to take and its by far one of the most informative.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course was that the teaching style was a lot different compared to others, Professor Starkey went out of her way to make sure you understood the concepts and different types of reactions. I'm more of a visual learner so it helped that she brought in physical figures and model kits to show how certain mechanisms work.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

One major advice I would give to students that are planning to take this course is to practice, practice, practice. Organic Chemistry can't be fully learned just by reading the book and studying. It's done by physically rewriting problems/answers, figuring out different layouts, and also how each mechanism specifically works with one another.
