    Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

    This course was absolutely amazing. Dr. Merritt is an outstanding professor because he truly cares about his students. Each assignment that was given for this course was true work and things that could really help our careers blossom. If you want a professor who has in depth knowledge on a subject and makes learning completely fun, then Merritt is your teacher!

    Course highlights:

    I gained the knowledge and confidence to become an effective leader within myself and in the workforce. the objective was to model the behaviors of effective, ethical leaders by demonstrating the fundamental principles of leadership in a hospitality business environment. All the steps that I have learned in the class were very useful. I learned how to role play with tough situations and how to handle them effectively. I learned the do's and don'ts of being a leader and what to look for in a bad leader.

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

    Make sure you read everything on BlackBoard. There are assignments that are due both in class and online. You can get an easy A in this class if you just take the time to do the work. He grades on an easy scale and just wants to see the students put some effort into each assignment.

    Course Overview:

    Merritt is a great professor. His online courses are challenging but he is a fair grader and really forces you to learn the material by reading and testing your reading.

    Course highlights:

    I learned about what it takes to be a great leader in hospitality.

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

    Make sure you read the books because there is no way to pass the class without reading.

    We learned so many different things through his examples and his book!

    Work a little at a time daily and don't do the assignments last minute.
