Always Do the Reading
Great Intro to the Subject
Not too easy. Not too difficult.
I would recommend this class because Dr. Adams keeps the lecture very interesting/entertaining. He shows us video clips (from moves, TV shows, news, etc.) every now and then. His weekly online quizzes are fairly easy as long as you listened to his lectures and did the assigned readings for that week. There is no midterm but there are 2 short papers (100 points each) due within the 3rd-7th week of the quarter. He gives really good, detailed feedback on each student's paper. You can tell that he genuinely cares about his students and their improvement.
This is only the second philosophy class that I've ever taken so I was new to everything. But Dr. Adams taught it in a way that made it easy to understand for new learners, but somehow also made it challenging enough for those who already have some background knowledge in philosophy. In his class, I learned to be more decisive because in most of the situations/problems we talked about in class, you had to pick one answer.

Advice for students:
He may/will probably call on you at least once or twice within the quarter if you're one of the people who have not participated. It can be challenging if you don't do the weekly readings and don't stay on top of your game. Although it may be a little challenging for some people, Professor Adams is by far, the most helpful professors I've had at Cal Poly. You can tell that he genuinely cares about his students and their improvement.
