Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This class was amazing. It specifically spoke to the realities of racism and prejudices that we face today and have faced for many years. For those of us who are unaware of white privilege, this was a gentle reminder that Caucasians have advantages that allow them to progress in certain areas that other races do not share. This course recognizes that we all need to learn about one another and the differences in every family culture.

    Course highlights:

My favorite part of this course was the project we did at the beginning of the course, which was to share our own culture with the class. Our professor left it up to us to define what culture meant, and we all shared our own perception of that word.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Definitely do the reading and participate in class. It helps to come prepared because she likes to discuss the reading at the beginning of every session, and it makes her happy I think when the class actually shares their opinions on the subject. It is also important to really study for the exams - they are hard!

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

It's a decent class. Professor Mio shows a lot of films, and a lot of the information is just a review of what has been covered in earlier psych classes.

    Course highlights:

So far we have covered everything from Race to health. The most interesting topic so far has got to be how race, or your economic status can effect the health care you receive.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Just make sure you get the bok and read it. His tests are basically just a recall of the book. From the stories to even the littlest details.

    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course has interesting material, however the professor moves at a slower pace covering course material and grades very sternly.

    Course highlights:

The highlights of this course were writing papers on films we viewed in class.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you take the time to study for this course.
