You don't need to buy the book for his course because all of his test material comes from the PowerPoint presentation. Just focus on the main bullet points along with what he says in class and you should be fine. Also, write down the answers for the tests that a lot of people in the class got wrong because he will re-use those questions on the following "pop quiz" he gives in class.
