    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I've been drawing since I was 2, and I wasn't sure how much I would learn taking this art class. But I have vastly improved over the last couple of months.

    Course highlights:

Some highlights were when we took a field trip to the Seattle Art Museum and got to draw 15 thumbnail sketches of various pieces in the museum.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

If art is the thing you wanna do for a career, this class teaches you the basics and then alot more advanced stuff. But it's spaced out over a good period of time. It's a fairly tough class but as all artists know, how much you draw determines how much you improve. And remember to have fun with it. If it's the thing you wanna do for a living you will do alot better if you absolutely love it.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I'm 19 and I have been drawing since I was 2 so I wasn't sure this class would make me improve as much as it has. So I would highly recommend this class to any aspiring artist.

    Course highlights:

How to animate short cartoons around 10 seconds long so far. Line weight, 1,2,3 point perspective, human anatomy. And many other things.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Remember to have fun! If you wanna do art for a career this is a great class to be in! Day 1 we has around 30 students, now there are about 20. It's the hard work that makes you better, but you will literally notice your art improving greatly. Misty is a great teacher. She's really easy to get along with and shes so nice and helpful to everybody here.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

You learn so much that its hard to keep it all in!

    Course highlights:

You will spend a lot of time repeatedly creating thumbnail art pieces as you learn new methods and techniques. Tedious but so worth it in the end as skill improves with repetition.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to spend a lot of time doing homework. This as well as all other classes at Digipen are homework heavy. Art takes time and a lot of effort that will wear on you, but keep at it. Worth the trouble in the end!
