Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend this course because Dr. Yao is a very easy to learn from professor. He does have a little bit of an accent which makes him difficult to understand at times but you will get over that very quickly. One of the better Chem classes i have taken.

    Course highlights:

I learned all the basics of chemistry. Nomenclature, chemical bonding, interpreting the periodic table, lewis structures etc. He has a very laid back and entertaining teaching style which makes classes very easy to attend and pay attention to.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

Read the book, pay attention, take a lot of notes, and find a lab partner,

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

Prepare for lots of studying outside of class. This course is very difficult and will require a lot of work to get through it.

    Course highlights:

I learned more about studying and finding help through the school library, study groups, and the professors than actual chemistry.

    Hours per week:

    12+ hours

    Advice for students:

If this is a requirement for you, buckle up. Try to take these courses during light quarters so you can dedicate a lot of time to them.
