    | No strong feelings either way.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend a different teacher if you wanted to focus more on research essays. Most essays we're in depth book reports.

    Course highlights:

I learned how to efficiently write and edit my essays.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you edit your essays!

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

I would recommend the class because it helps develop you write and analyze different types of writing. There were times when the teacher did not do a great job at explaining the subject matter, however it was still a very interesting and productive class.

    Course highlights:

I personally enjoyed satire and getting to experiment with the different writing styles that accompanied the unit. I also learned many useful skills including how to write a through and complete research paper which will be extremely useful in college. We also spent a lot of time studying different types of rhetoric which was also very interesting.

    Hours per week:

    9-11 hours

    Advice for students:

Be prepared to work! A lot! Even though this class does have a lot of work, don't let that be the deciding factor. Choose to take the class if it's something you want to learn or find interesting. Yes, it will be hard, but the hard work pays off in the end.

    | Would recommend.

Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

In this class, you learn so much about the English language. You learn about things that are important that maybe you had no idea about before. She is very strict with turning things in on time but it's good for you.

    Course highlights:

I learned about different types of approaches on papers and what to use for each type.

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

Make sure you take deadlines seriously. She doesn't give extra time and it's good to prepare you for the real world.
