Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

This course teaches you a lot and I really felt like I came out with a must higher understanding of academic writing than I did in the beginning.

    Course highlights:

Marla was a wonderful professor and taught the course well. I loved being able to pick my own research essay topic because I was much more interested in it.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Always do your homework, and show up to class, if you do that, the course should be a breeze.

    This class was tough.

    Course Overview:

It was an interesting paper to write and interesting to learn about. Since you're going to have to write the paper regardless it might as well be something your interested in. This class was a lot of work though, Just make sure you keep up with deadlines and don't wait until the last minute!

    Course highlights:

Honestly making it to the end was a huge weight of my shoulders and the highlight was it being over

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Work hard and make sure you get an easy topic within the main topic!

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

If you're interested in current events or researching social inequality then I would definitely recommend this course to you. Topics of study include contemporary slavery, racism, sexism, and the wage gap. The teacher is fantastic and is very knowledgeable on the subject.

    Course highlights:

I learned a lot about the gender and racial wage gaps, and the degree to which the media can influence peoples' perspectives. We watched several films on being trans-gendered, illegal immigration, the media's portrayal of men/women, and a lot more.

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

I would suggest that you come into the class with the mindset that you're going to have a lot of busy work and only a few big projects. So it's very important to keep up with the reading and to do all the little assignments because those account for over half your grade.
