It has no structured grading system, Torrens takes all assignments into consideration after the final and grades as she sees fit. Very unstructured and disorganized. Has weekly essay assignments that are graded from 1-15 (15 being the highest) and doesnt allow any make ups or late essays. Very strict on her "grading policy".
This course was very informative on the American judicial system, civil rights/liberty cases, lots of informative videos and presentations. Also has a very opinionated class atmosphere which can be disruptive at times and unpleasant to be a part of.

Put in your best effort for every weekly essay assignment and put in as much detail as possible. Ask for as much guidance and feedback as possible because she doesn't provide a rubric so its hard to know what you're supposed to write. Don't get discouraged if you get a bad score, talk to her about what you can do better. The final is a bigger version of the weekly homework assignment so be ready
