Not too easy. Not too difficult.

    Course Overview:

The teacher was amazing, had great ideas, and focused not only on your tone, dialect, consentration of who your audience is, but gave great direction in how to engage the audience with what you're speaking about. She gave us confidence to speak in large groups, and helped us focus on the important information we needed to convey.

    Course highlights:

She taught me how to speak publically without the nerves that would have been obvious in my speech, for before I could never speak even in front of my class. She not only focused on public speaking but presentation and general communication skills!

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

Be ready to work in groups, but know the final presentation to give will be independently. Listen to others' ideas and perspectives and respect them, even if you don't agree. Remember not everyone will agree with your argument, but respect is key.

    Course highlights:

In a very kind, fun, comforting environment, you learn as an individual, as a group, and as a class. Each step of the way we get to know each other as well as ourselves better!

    Hours per week:

    6-8 hours

    Advice for students:

I fell this class would be a good choice for everyone, no matter your major.

    Pretty easy, overall.

    Course Overview:

This course what great. It was a friendly atmosphere. Everyone was very encouraging since we could empathize with our other classmates about giving speeches.

    Course highlights:

I learned that it's hard to break communication habits, such as shifting weight, or filling silences with "um" or "ah".

    Hours per week:

    3-5 hours

    Advice for students:

If nervous about public speaking in general, then try to select topics that are easy for you. The topic is not as important so much as your delivery.
